Job Description

At Lee ik-hoon Language Institute, located in Gangnam, Seoul, we seek experienced writers for English proficiency test preparatory materials and books. Lee Ik-hoon Language Institute was established in 1993 and has, since then, developed a variety of programs, including TOEFL, TOEIC and TEPS test preparation and become the foremost language institute 17 years after opening of the academy. ‘Lee Ik-hoon’s Ear of the TOEIC,’ ‘Lee Ik-hoon’s Eye of the TOEIC,’ ‘Lee Ik-hoon ‘ E-TOEIC Vocabulary,’ ‘Lee Ik-hoon ‘ Ear of the TOEFL,’ ‘New E-TOEIC Basic R/C,’ published by Lee Ik-hoon Language Institute, became the best sellers in the fields of English test books, and they are regarded almost as “textbooks” for English learners who are preparing for the examination.
Job Description:
* Develop and edit English content for test preparatory materials
* Provide English support to Korean researchers
* Other related duties (recording English sentences)
* Working hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m
* 2.6 – 3 million won monthly salary (depending on skill set)
Basic Qualifications:
* BA or MA in related field
* Passing the Foreign Researcher Qualification Test
* Excellent writing skills and creativity
* Knowledge of standardized English proficiency tests
* Flexible and open-minded to feedback
* Familiar with Korean culture and working environment
Health/Retirement:
* Korean National Health Insurance
* Korean National Pension Scheme
* Annual retirement pay
Visa/Housing/Airfare:
* E-7 visa sponsorship
* One-way flight to Korea or round-trip flight to Japan
* 10 million won key money for housing
* 600,000 won for monthly rental fee

* 7-day vacation per year
* Three days of sick leaves

1. Cover letter and resume (including contact information, educational/employment history, and employment references)
2. Scanned copies of your passport information page and university diploma
3. Scanned copy (front and back) of Alien Registration Card, if residing in Korea

The Foreign Researcher Qualification Test:
 - Only chosen candidates will receive the Foreign Researcher Qualification Test via e-mail. Potential candidates should complete the test paper and hand it in via e-mail.
