Job Description

Hello. My name is Alex and I am Deputy Director of Overseas Business at the Institute of Global Management, Korea’s largest executive education institute (www.igm.or.kr). My responsibility at this company is to internationalize IGM unto the world stage. My company is looking for a native English Translator who can convert Korean text into English, and the potential of managing projects. Ultimately we are looking for an individual that is interested in the Corporate Executive Training and Personal Development Industry. IGM is a consultancy that focuses on teaching corporate executives various business matters such as marketing, leadership, and HR among many other subjects. We are looking for a highly motivated, team oriented individual who has an interest in the previously mentioned subject matter who can work in a high pressure, deadline intensive corporate environment.
The employee will initially begin their careers at IGM converting scripts played on 4 minute video clips on business topics such as leadership, communication, strategy, personnel development and marketing. All scripts are about 1500 to 2000 words and must be converted from Korean into Native Spoken English (See link below). And since that employee will more than likely become familiar with the subject matter, that employee will be tasked with other projects that require research and execution along with a certain positive social trait required in tightly knit teams.
Please refer to the following link for an idea of what you will help create by translation:

This is a tremendous opportunity for you to be a part of a company that is on the cusp of bringing its already successful business in Korea to the international stage. Previous experience in Project Management, Marketing, and Corporate Executive Education, or what we like to call Edusolving (Education + Problem Solving), is a huge plus but not necessarily needed depending on your character and background.
The candidate is to submit the following 2 conditions to be shortlisted:
1. CV with Head Shot Pic
2. Candidate will be required to research our website (www.igm.or.kr) and watch our company intro (http://youtu.be/Fnhro9KPbG8) ; and write an opinion on IGM in the email body.
Shortlisted candidates will then be tasked with an assignment of summarizing a piece of written literature in English and then translating it into Korean all on one document.
Salary will be based on previous experience and potential.
